Everyone knows that recycling is good for the environment but did you know that recycling is also good for St Raphael's Hospice?
St Raphael's has just partnered up with ShP Solutions to launch an exciting new fundraising initiative that recycles mobile phones and used printer cartridges - and we want you to be part of it!
It is estimated that 90 million mobile phones are hiding in drawers and cupboards across the UK and each one is worth and average of £7.
Did you also know that of the 60million printer cartridges used each year in the UK, only about 10% are currently recycled and each cartridge that ends up in a landfill site could take 1000 years to decompose?
Did you also know that each cartridge is worth an average of £2 to St Raphael's? So if any of them are yours why not use them to raise valuable funds for St Raphael's?

For every phone you donate St Raphael's will recieve an average of £7 but it can be as much as £50 (don't forget to include the battery and charger if you have them)
Surplus goods or second hand items
We recycle good quality second hand items through our chain of charity shops. We can collect goods if necessary. Why not arrange a day for staff to bring in good quality suits, videos or unwanted Christmas Gifts for example. We also use new items in our shops for prizes and our summer and Christmas fairs.
Employee Volunteering
Involving employees in volunteer projects can offer considerable benefits for your staff and for your business. Your staff could support us in a variety of ways, ranging from practical helping to brighten up our gardens, paint fences and planting up pots, fundraising projects (for a specific hospice-led event or organise their own event).
