Light up a Life Carol Services
In September each year we have a postal appeal to supporters asking for a donation to St Raphael's Hospice in memory of a loved one(s) or friend(s), whose name(s) will be included in the special commemorate programme used as the "order of service" for the LUAL carol concert.
There is a major Carol Concert held as part of our "Light up a Life" Appeal. This year the service, held in the grounds of St Raphael's Hospice, will be on Sunday 4th December 2011 The St Bedes Centre will open at 3.30pm for free mince pies and mulled wine. The Carol Service is held at 4.30 - 5.00pm
All those for whom a dedication is made are then remembered through the lights that shine on the hospice Christmas Tree through December and into the New Year. We hope that as many friends and relatives as possible will be able to join us.
The attendance is usually around 2,500 people and this appeal raises in excess of £122,000 for the hospice.
